Latihan Soal Bahasa Indonesia UN 2011 Pack 3 - Keagamaan

You might be wondering if it is really necessary to learn Indonesian grammar when you learn the language because you have heard many times that even the Indonesian people themselves hardly use the proper grammar when they are speaking the language. You should learn a little bit about the rules in the language if you intend to understand the language further. However you should not learn the whole thing if you only want to be able to communicate in Indonesian language with the locals.

Some English speakers find it a little bit confusing to learn the Indonesian grammar at first. But I think it really necessary to learn about the rules in speaking Indonesian so that you can look up the Indonesian words in the dictionary. Without the proper grammar knowledge, you will not be able to find those words in the dictionary because the Indonesian English dictionary lists the Indonesian words based on their base or root words, instead of the whole words. That is the main reason why you should at least learn the very basic of Indonesian grammar.
When learning Indonesian, you do not have to learn the whole complicated language rules, only some basic ones, which will help you a great deal to be a self learner should you decide not to continue learning the language from a native Indonesian teacher anymore. The basic rules of this language teaches you how to break the whole words into their prefixes and base words. There are around fifteen basic rules regarding how to form a word into verbs, adjectives and nouns. However if you are too lazy to learn the rules, you do not have to worry. You can still learn how to speak Indonesian without worrying about the grammar. By communicating often with the locals, you will soon pick up the 'essence' of Indonesian language and that way you can learn to speak the language without even knowing nor understand the Indonesian grammar rules in it.
